The Challenge and Project Objectives

In international trade and industrial logistics, the ability to monitor transportation, storage and handling conditions is becoming increasingly important.

Temperature excursions, mechanical impacts during transportation and improper storage conditions can lead to significant quality issues, financial losses and supply chain disruptions.

Although a wide range of specialized monitoring technologies is available internationally, their market visibility, local availability and technical support remain limited in several Central and Eastern European markets.

The objective of the TEMPSPOT project is to establish a regional sales and technical consulting platform connecting international technology manufacturers with local industrial customers.

The project goes beyond traditional product distribution. Its primary focus is on understanding specific industrial challenges, identifying suitable monitoring technologies and supporting their practical implementation in business operations.

Project Implementation – Connecting International Suppliers with Local Industrial Customers

1. Establishing International Manufacturer and Supplier Relationships

The first phase of the project focused on identifying international manufacturers and technology suppliers offering solutions for monitoring temperature, time, humidity, shock and tilt.

The product portfolio includes technologies from SpotSee, Timestrip and Telatemp, alongside other specialized industrial monitoring solutions.

Rather than creating a general industrial product catalogue, the objective was to develop a carefully selected portfolio addressing specific challenges in logistics, quality assurance and industrial manufacturing.

2. Developing a Multilingual Digital Sales Infrastructure

TEMPSPOT.EU serves as the central online platform through which industrial customers in different countries can explore monitoring technologies in their local languages.

In addition to the Hungarian market, Polish, Slovak, Romanian and Croatian language content is being developed.

Localization involves considerably more than translating product descriptions. The project includes:

  • Preparing localized product descriptions, technical documentation and application guides.

  • Presenting industry-specific applications and practical solutions.

  • Developing search-engine-optimized product pages and technical articles.

  • Managing local customer inquiries and quotation requests.

  • Establishing digital marketing and B2B lead generation channels.

This approach makes international monitoring technologies more accessible and easier to understand for local industrial customers.

3. Direct B2B Market Development and Technical Consulting

One of the most important elements of the project is direct engagement with potential industrial customers.

Market development activities focus on several sectors, including food processing, pharmaceuticals, logistics, electronics and industrial manufacturing.

Instead of simply promoting products, the process begins by identifying the customer's operational, monitoring and quality assurance challenges.

Suitable technical solutions are then selected based on the specific application requirements.

Activities include technical consultations, product sampling, application assessments, discussions of operating conditions and the management of customized procurement requirements.

4. Identifying New Applications and Product Solutions

Direct cooperation with industrial customers frequently reveals specific requirements that cannot always be addressed by the existing product portfolio.

For this reason, the TEMPSPOT project maintains continuous communication with international manufacturers and suppliers to identify new technologies, specialized indicators and application-specific solutions.

Current areas of development include temperature-sensitive safety solutions, humidity monitoring, transportation event monitoring and specialized time-temperature indicators.

This approach creates a direct connection between local industrial requirements and international technology suppliers.

It also provides manufacturers with valuable market feedback and opportunities to introduce their technologies into new industrial applications.

5. Regional Expansion and Consistent Market Presence

Building on the experience gained in Hungary, the project is gradually expanding into additional Central and Eastern European markets.

Alongside ongoing development in Poland, the foundations for market presence in Slovakia, Romania and Croatia are being established.

The strategy is based on maintaining a common product portfolio, technical knowledge base and international supplier network while adapting communication and customer relationships to the requirements of each local market.

This business model enables international manufacturers to reach potential customers across several countries through a consistent technical and commercial structure supported by localized communication.

Current Status and Next Milestones

TEMPSPOT is currently in an active market development phase.

The multilingual digital infrastructure continues to expand, while new business relationships are being established across an increasing number of industrial applications.

The main priorities for the next development phase include:

  • Expanding the B2B customer base in Hungary and Poland.

  • Strengthening direct sales activities in Slovakia, Romania and Croatia.

  • Establishing additional partnerships with international technology manufacturers.

  • Expanding the product portfolio based on local industrial requirements.

  • Developing recurring business relationships and long-term supplier partnerships.

What Does This Project Demonstrate?

TEMPSPOT is a practical example of ExportHungary's approach to international market development.

Successful B2B market entry requires much more than making products available or launching a multilingual website.

It requires a detailed understanding of local industries, direct access to potential customers, technical and commercial support, and continuous cooperation with international suppliers.

The TEMPSPOT project brings these elements together in a scalable regional business development model.

It demonstrates how international industrial technologies can be introduced into multiple Central and Eastern European markets through a combination of local market knowledge, technical expertise, digital infrastructure and direct B2B sales activities.
