Korózs Winery & Vineyard – Premium Organic Wines from the Eger Wine Region
Korózs Winery & Vineyard is a family-owned boutique winery located in Hungary's historic Eger Wine Region, producing premium wines with a strong focus on organic viticulture, quality and distinctive character.

The winery is built around a nearly 10-hectare vineyard estate, including 5.8 hectares on volcanic soil and approximately 4 hectares in the renowned Nagy-Eged vineyard. The vineyards have been cultivated organically, with the winery receiving certification from Biokontrol Hungária since 2022.

Distinctive wines from the Eger Wine Region
The winery produces approximately 12,000 bottles annually, focusing on a carefully selected range rather than mass production.
Its portfolio includes some of the most characteristic wines of the Eger region:
- Egri Bikavér – a modern interpretation of Hungary's iconic Eger red wine
- Egri Csillag – an elegant white blend combining traditional and international grape varieties
- Syrah Superior – the winery's flagship wine and one of its most recognised products
- Viognier and other selected wines reflecting the winery's modern approach
Syrah has a particularly important role in the winery's portfolio. The wine has gained recognition among Hungarian wine professionals and consumers and is served by high-end restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments.
The winery is also investing in the future of traditional Hungarian varieties, with new plantings including selected clones of Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) and Kadarka, which will form the basis of future premium wines from the Nagy-Eged vineyard.

A modern approach to Hungarian winemaking
Korózs Winery represents a new generation of Hungarian winemakers who combine the traditions of the Eger wine region with modern, environmentally conscious viticulture and carefully controlled winemaking.
The winery places strong emphasis on protecting the natural balance of the vineyards. Since 2018, its vineyards have been treated exclusively with biological plant-protection products, while organic materials are used for fertilisation.
In the cellar, the philosophy is equally focused on minimal intervention without compromising precision and stability. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, oak barrels and egg-shaped breathable vessels, using wild, natural and selected yeasts according to the character of each wine.

From Eger to international markets
Korózs Winery has a clear ambition to build an international presence with distinctive, premium Hungarian wines.
The winery's vision is to create contemporary wines with an international appeal while preserving the unique character of the Eger wine region. Its combination of organic viticulture, limited production, volcanic and limestone terroirs, and a modern winemaking philosophy makes Korózs an interesting partner for importers, wine distributors, specialist retailers and HoReCa partners looking for distinctive Hungarian wines.
Korózs Winery is open to international cooperation and is looking for reliable export partners who are interested in premium Hungarian wines and long-term market development.
